I feel dumb

I guess everyone is allowed to be wrong sometimes, and I know I can't be perfect. But boy it would be nice to be perfect. While I was on maternity leave, my replacement did some calculations. Yesterday, I looked over them and too quickly said they were wrong and told the people concerned that they were wrong. Then I looked at them more, and I realized that they were right. So I had to go back and say I was wrong. Oh well. I would rather admit being wrong than people think there is a major problem with a piece of equipment when there is really not a problem.
