I like to paint

This is what happens when Mommy is cooking and cleaning in the kitchen, and little boy is painting.

Riding on Airplanes

We took a scenic flight around our area on Friday. It was really amazing to see all of the familiar sights from a different view. We flew to the beach, down the coast, down the river, over where we work and where we live. Boo really enjoyed it too. He was a little scared on take off, but the rest of the time he was fine. He liked seeing the boats on the river most of all.

Mr. Clean

Friday night, Nathan gave Boo a bath while I cleaned the kitchen. Then I went up to take a bath by myself. We take a bath together sometimes, so when I got in the bathtub, Boo took off his shirt and kicked his leg over the tub and slid right in, shorts and diaper still on. So of course I let him sit in my bath. I guess a boy can't be too clean.

Boo is so fascinated with airplanes and helicopters. We are thinking of taking a scenic flight around the area. The local municipal airport has a service that is reasonable price. I think he would really like it.

Chesley has really turned into a chatterbox, talking all the time. Most of the time he speaks clearly, but we do have those moments when he is really trying to tell me something that I can't understand. He loves any type of vehicle/truck/moving object. "I see airplane. I see helicopter. I see tractor. I see big truck." On College Street there is a rental place for tractors. Every day... We live fairly close to a couple of small airports, so we see airplanes a lot. We also live close to a hospital with a helicopter. Or it's, "Wanna see Mya. Wanna see Mimi. Wanna see Toto." and on down the list. It's fun to hear him learning to talk.

Hey Y'all

I took a break from the internet, tv, and mostly the radio last week. Our church asked us to have a media black-out. Not because all media is evil, but just to take a break and concentrate on other family and God. I didn't always understand why I couldn't watch one show or listen to the radio, but I did my best to follow the black-out. I did find that I got more house work done and spent more time praying and reading my bible.

We had a fun Halloween. Chesley loved the kids in costumes and candy, of course. It was so fun to watch him go up to kids in costumes and look at them, not quite understanding what they were. He wasn't scared though, just curious.

He has not been sleeping well, and last night was really bad. Maybe it was just the break from the routine, being away from home, too much fun, too much candy. Hopefully tonight we'll get back into the norm and he'll do better.

Oh and for the title of this post, in TX we say "y'all" a lot. And Chesley said it for the first time last night when we were saying goodbye to Nathan's family. I said, "Bye y'all" and Chesley said "Bye y'all". It was so cute. My little TX boy!
