House is for sale
Our house is officially listed on the market as of Wednesday. I am hopefull that we get some interest, but I haven't gotten any calls yet. I know that we are trying to do what we think is right for our family, to simplify our lives and reduce debt. But if we can't sell the house, then the best thing to do would be to stay in the house. Either way, we will be happy. So for now, we wait and keep the house as clean as possible.

What do you do?
What do you do when you are up at 6:30 am feeling crappy, you've already watched tv, eaten breakfast, drank your coffee, and wondering what to do? Well, you paint! Boo was feeling yucky the other day. We tried to make the best of it. This paint is from Crayola and comes in a tube. It washes up easily and even from clothes. Boo loves to paint.

Chesley Language
Chesley says so many words! And what I really love is when he has his own way of saying a word. I try to use the real word so that he will learn the word correctly, but it's so cute. So here is some Chesley language:
toothbrush - beepuh
dinosaur - beesuh
blanket (for night night) - nigh nigh
pacifier (paci) - poppy
coffee (which he loves to have in his milk) - toppee
Most words he actually says right though - shoes, shirt, pants, dog, cat. But all dogs names are Tobey (mom's dog). Big dogs, little dogs, stuffed dogs. I might have mentioned that before, but it is so funny. Especially with our two giant dogs. He will talk to one, calling her Tobey, then the same to the other.

Catching up
We have been so busy lately that I have fallen behind in blogging. Boo has been up to so many new things lately. He is really talking a lot, repeating, saying bigger words like "medicine" and putting words together, like "momma's coffee" "Chesley's coffee" "daddy's coffee". Daddy has been working a lot lately due to some problems at the refinery. Hopefully he will get to stay home today. He has also been working hard on getting the landscaping finished so we can list the house on the real estate market. We are so close! I spent 4 hours Friday cleaning out closets and organizing the house. It's still far from perfect, but I think it's good enough to list now. As soon as Nathan finishes the front flower beds, maybe today, I will take the pictures and make the listing. I'm still nervous about people coming in and out of our house, and I'm not sure how it will work out with actually living in the house and having a small child. But we will take it one day at a time. We are planning on using myopenhouserealty.com for a flat fee MLS listing. I just can't see having to pay 6% to agents. I hope we are doing the right thing. We are going to do a lock box for buyer's agents to use, but if someone wants to come without an agent, one of us will have to leave work. Sales in the price range we are going to be in seem kind of slow right now, but our house is unique and will be priced low for the amount of square footage.
A big problem we are having right now... BITING HITTING!!! Boo really doesn't understand why he can't always have his way. I mean he really doesn't understand. He just hits and bites whoever gets in his way. He can't control himself. I really hope and pray this eases off or he's going to get kicked out of daycare. And nobody will want to play with him. We have been spending a lot of time with the neighbors that have 6 kids, including 2 boys Chesley's age. He is so mean to them! He bit one of them yesterday. I felt so horrible. I try time out, but it doesn't seem to bother him. I try to reserve spanking for when absolutely necessary, because if I hit him, he hits me... So I feel at a loss for controlling my own child. I know that this is a difficult age. I'm sure we will survive. I do try my best.

He looks so grown up!
I just can't believe how grown up he looks in these pictures. Now, of course, while we shot the pictures, he wasn't acting grown up, but he does look big!
